There is an old adage in the mining industry that the best place to find a new mine is right next to an old mine. 

Our latest investment is in a private gold company La Camera Mining Inc. that controls a property that almost surrounds Mexico’s largest gold mine Los Filos.

The Los Filos mine is operated by Goldcorp and in 2008 produced 214,000 ounces from two open pits.  According to Goldcorp production is anticipated to ramp up to 300,000 ounces per year.

Aside from a great address in Mexico, La Camera`s property hosts a sizeable historic gold resource in at least three separate areas.  The company also acquired an extensive and valuable exploration database when it optioned the project from Grupo Mexico.

Zimtu’s investment in La Camera is in continuing with our strategy of making early stage resource investments not normally available to the public (pre-ipo­) as well as creating and growing companies to build value for our shareholders.

“Location, Location, Location” the old cliché from real estate often holds just as true in mineral exploration.
