The summer exploration field season for British Columbia is now in full swing. For us, it is always exciting and interesting when prospectors, joint-venture partners, friends, and colleagues come to the office right from the field and share their stories and experiences.
Commerce Resources Corp. (TSXv: CCE) (FSE: D7H), one of Zimtu Capital’s holdings, recently reported that exploration programs are in progress at both the Carbo and Blue River Properties in British Columbia :
June 30, 2010 – Blue River Tantalum-Niobium Project Exploration and Development Update
July 8, 2010 - Carbo Rare Earth Project Exploration Update
Commerce’s Carbo Project is under a joint-venture agreement with Canadian International Minerals Inc. Michael Schuss, President of Canadian International recently stopped by our office to share photos from the ongoing field program.

Rare Earth Elements at the Carbo Project are hosted in a rock type known as a Carbonatite. Geologists use instruments called Scintillometers to identify them.
