QUANTUM RARE EARTH LISTS ON FRANKFURT

Friday, March 19th, 2010

Quantum Rare Earth Development Corp. (TSXv:QRE), one of Zimtu Capital’s core holdings, was just listed on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. Their trading symbol is BR3 and the WKN is A1CUNC. Zimtu Capital introduced Quantum to the rare earth elements (REE) sector when we acted as a property vendor for Quantum’s acquisition of the Archie Lake Rare Earth Property in Saskatchewan, Canada back in September 2009.

Frankfurt Stock Exchange

Frankfurt Stock Exchange

Over the last 12 months, I have talked with many executives about the who-what-where-when-why of the German market. Companies listing on the Frankfurt Exchange should understand that while you could benefit from the broader exposure, it also brings with it new responsibilities. For example, the translation and dissemination channels for news releases and corporate updates.

Being the contact at Zimtu Capital and Commerce Resources Corp. for many of our German shareholders, I have also found numerous differences between the German-speaking and the North American investment communities. To bridge these communities, public company executives must commit to making themselves available to institutional and retail investors to answer questions and update on the company’s developments. This exchange should basically become their second home. In both markets, investment decisions are mainly based on trust, and trust needs to be earned.

If Quantum can prove their commitment, they will stand out from the sea of dual-listed resource companies currently listed on the Frankfurt Exchange. This is a position which could be rewarded with long-term shareholder loyalty and support.

I wish them all the best and great success on the Frankfurt Exchange.

Sincerely,

IMPRESSIONS FROM PDAC 2010

Sunday, March 14th, 2010

PDAC… four letters I have heard so many times… and finally it was my time to experience it.

From March 7 to March 10, 2010 the world’s biggest mining and mineral exploration conference, the Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada International Convention, took place at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.

Having attended another convention in Frankfurt – which was great as well – I missed most of the first day. Sunday afternoon when I first set foot into those famous halls I was blown away: rows and rows of mining and exploration companies.

After I got over my initial shock (and after having found our booth), I was ready to experience what I had only heard about before: swarms of investors, fund managers and shareholders. Four days later, 21,600 visitors had entered the holy halls of mineral exploration and mining. And yes, more than a few of them stopped by our booth as well to receive the information they were seeking and more. In my opinion, the whole team was successful in answering questions regarding Zimtu Capital Corp. and our core holdings such as Commerce Resources Corp. and Western Potash Corp.

What I was personally most nervous and excited about was certainly the second annual Accessing European Capital event hosted by Zimtu which took place on Monday, March 8th. I had devoted most of my time in the last little while to the organization of the event; being the contact person for our German-speaking shareholders my heart was fully set on the success of the event. Fortunately, I wasn’t disappointed. The event was well attended – thanks to all the Europeans for being on time. :)

Following an introduction by Sven Olsson, Director of Zimtu Capital, we had an informative discussion between our panel consisting of four experts from the North American as well as European side and the audience. At this point, I would again love to thank Bob Rose of D & D Securities, Christoph Bruening of Value Relations, Joe Brunner of IRW Press and Wolfgang Seybold of AXINO for their participation and valuable input. Those discussions were certainly carried on into the networking portion of our event where German-style food and beverages (yes, the famous-infamous German beer again) were served. The whole Zimtu team was able to make valuable introductions in a more relaxed atmosphere. I think overall some important questions about listing and maintaining a presence in the European market were answered. The key word is and remains commitment.

Altogether, the four days just flew by and I finally know what everybody meant by saying that I would be more tired than I had ever been. Yes, I am very tired but I also couldn’t be happier. Everything went extremely well from working at the booth to hosting the Accessing European Capital event. However, more important than that, I was part of a great team experience. PDAC is the only convention where most of our team is together. Ultimately, this is what our success is based on, teamwork.

Sincerely,

TAMARA FAUST – ZIMTU’S RESIDENT GERMAN!

Thursday, September 17th, 2009

 german-flag-300x239

For those that I have not yet met or spoken with, this is my chance to introduce myself. My name is Tamara Faust and I am responsible for Zimtu Capital’s German investor relations efforts which are further supported by Director Mr. Sven Olsson, who is based in Stuttgart, Germany.

Why Germany?  Of course, besides having the best beer, Germany also has one of the largest markets worldwide and hence is very important to a successful investor relations effort. A dual listing in Germany has proven successful for Zimtu Capital (FSE:ZCT1) (TSXv:ZC) as well as two of our core assets, Commerce Resources Corp. (FSE:D7H) (TSXv:CCE) and Western Potash Corp. (FSE:AHE) (TSXv:WPX) which all have strong shareholder bases in the German-speaking countries.

Our German and European investors are very savvy and loyal. Aside from my day-to-day activities and contact with them, we often visit Germany and neighbouring countries for road shows and conferences.  In fact, Dave Hodge, President of Zimtu, will be presenting at the upcoming CM-Equity Resource Conference next week in Munich.  The event is taking place on Thursday, September 24th, 2009 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm at the Hotel Bayrischer Hof.  If you are able to attend, you can register here: http://www.cm-equity.de/anmeldung2009.html (the event is free of charge).

Of course, we are not forgetting about our Canadian shareholders and investors.  Zimtu will be exhibiting at the upcoming Cambridge House Toronto Resource Investment Conference September 26 & 27, 2009 at booth #603.  If you able to attend, you can register here http://cambridgehouse.com/registration.html using promotion code # Ext9.

The Zimtu team is looking forward to meeting you either in Munich or in Toronto.

And, of course, if you do not have the chance to see us personally at these events, I would be happy to talk to you about Zimtu on the phone – in German or English.  Just give me a call at TF 1.877.377.6222 or +1.604.681.1568 or email: tfaust@zimtu.com

Sincerely,

tamarafaust
